Cody Waits

Cody Waits is from Fort Smith, Arkansas, and a graduate of the University of Arkansas. Possessing both private and public sector experience, Cody was appointed by Governor Asa Hutchinson as Deputy Director of the Dept. of Career Education in 2017 and later became Director of the Office of Skills Development in 2019. Cody leads state efforts on workforce development grant strategies, directs the Arkansas Office of Apprenticeship, and oversees the 30 Career and Technical Education centers across Arkansas. Cody is married to his wife Anna Waits and is the proud father of four children Ava, Mia, Willow, and Hudson.
