Jaime Land
Secretary of State John Thurston
Jaime Land currently serves as the Director of Public Relations for Secretary of State John Thurston. She was previously appointed as the Director of State-Federal Relations for Governor Asa Hutchinson and served as the Executive Assistant and Director of Scheduling for Attorney General Leslie Rutledge. During her time in state government, Jaime has worked to establish efficient processes, conserve state resources and strengthen communication with government partners.
Jaime has been actively involved in state government as well as politics. She serves as the Chairman of the Arkansas Young Republicans and as the Secretary for the Young Republican National Federation State Chairs Association. In the 2018 and 2022 political cycles, Jaime managed successful statewide campaigns for the current Arkansas Commissioner of State Lands, Tommy Land. Over the years, she has volunteered with numerous district and local campaigns working to ensure conservatives are elected at all levels across our state.
Outside of her work in government and politics, Jaime is exploring the state on a hiking trail as an Arkansas Ambassador for Arkansas Parks, Heritage and Tourism. She has also served on various committees for Women of Inspiration, which raises funds for the Children Advocacy Centers (CAC) across Arkansas. She was named to the inaugural 2020 Arkansas Money and Politics Future 50 Leader class and was a 2021 Cystic Fibrosis Honoree.
Jaime grew up in Arkansas, received her Master of Education from West Coast Baptist College in California, and graduated with her undergrad from Pensacola Christian College in Florida.
