Jerrad Cude
Nucor Yamato Steel Company
I was born in Kennett, Missouri, but now I call Jonesboro, Arkansas home, where my wife Julie and our four amazing children Rouse, Rex, Kate, and Boston reside. While working at Nucor-Yamato Steel, I seized the opportunity to pursue higher education, earning a Master’s in operations management, a decision that has greatly influenced my career path.
My Nucor journey began back in 2005, starting in Sales. Over the years, I took on various roles at Nucor-Yamato Steel & Nucor Memphis. All were invaluable experiences that shaped my career. Eventually, I found myself back at Nucor-Yamato, now serving as a Roll Shop supervisor. For more than 15 years, my commitment to this company and its vision has never wavered.
Beyond the professional realm, my heart lies with my family. We are always seeking new adventures, be it golfing, hiking, or simply spending quality time together. Our involvement in First Methodist Church in Jonesboro brings us closer to God and our community. I find fulfillment in giving back and being a positive influence on others.
As a leader, my team’s well-being is paramount to me. I deeply care about their safety and strive to foster a supportive work environment where everyone feels valued and appreciated. Their success and happiness fuel my own sense of accomplishment.
Throughout my years of service, the team at Nucor-Yamato Steel have successfully produced structural beams that now stand in structures across the world. When I reflect on the immense contribution the team has made in crafting the iconic H-beams for well-known landmarks globally, such as Busch Stadium, PNC Park, One World Trade Center, Amazon Fulfillment Centers, Tesla Gigafactory, Yankees Stadium, and many more, I cannot help but feel an overwhelming sense of amazement and pride.
