Nick Coulter is the Director of Communications for West Memphis since 2018, appointed by Mayor Bill Johnson to revolutionize the city’s digital footprint.
Before joining the city’s administration, Nick had already honed his skills during a 15-year tenure as the Director of Operations for the Crittenden County Evening Times daily newspaper. In that capacity, he demonstrated an exceptional ability to navigate both traditional and digital media, forging a comprehensive set of creative and dynamic communications and marketing skills.
Nick’s visionary approach and relentless efforts have significantly brought West Memphis into the digital era, elevating its online presence. Under his strategic guidance, the city now boasts a dynamic website, flourishing social media accounts with over 30,000 dedicated followers, and a YouTube channel with thousands of views. His unwavering dedication to building a strong online community for the city has exceeded all expectations, illuminating West Memphis in the 21st century like never before.
Beyond communications, Nick also serves as the Marketing and Business Development Director for West Memphis Economic Development, driving high- profile marketing initiatives and positive media relations to attract domestic and international businesses to the city, collaborating closely with the Mayor’s Strategic Initiatives on pivotal projects with various economic consulting firms.
His dedication to keeping the citizens informed and engaged has been instrumental in delivering Official Statements, press releases, and media relations that are essential for the city’s progress. Nick’s visionary leadership has undoubtedly contributed to West Memphis’ continued growth and success.
