Sheena Olson
Arkansas Children’s
Sheena Olson is the vice president for government relations for Arkansas Children’s. In that role, Olson represents the health system in its interactions with government officials. As such, she is an advocate for children’s health and well-being as well as healthcare operations and government programs such as Medicaid.
Olson earned criminal justice and Spanish undergraduate degrees at the University of Arkansas Little Rock as a part of the school’s Donaghey Scholars Program as well as master’s degree in public administration from UALR. Olson then graduated from UALR’s Bowen School of Law. Most recently, Olson completed her master’s degree in public service from the University of Arkansas Clinton School as a member of the inaugural class of the Clinton School Online.
In addition to briefly serving in a private law practice, Olson has held positions at the Pulaski County Youth Services division, the City of Little Rock Housing and Neighborhood Programs and served seven years with the Department of Human Services – first as a program manager for several Medicaid programs and then as Medicaid assistant director.
Olson began her career in hospital administration at Arkansas Children’s in finance in 2014, and since 2016 she has worked in government relations.
Olson and her husband, Nate, reside in Bryant with their children J.D. and Luke.
